Tessa Creighton is an Associate Attorney at Yates and Wheland. Tessa began her legal career as a paralegal in 2012 in the areas of family, criminal and personal injury law. In 2014, Tessa graduated from the University of Tennessee where she majored in paralegal studies. From 2014-2018, Tessa attended Nashville School of Law while continuing her paralegal work.
Upon graduating law school, Tessa worked as an Assistant District Attorney in Tennessee’s 10th Judicial District. As an Assistant District Attorney Tessa prosecuted criminal cases for the State of Tennessee. While at the District Attorney’s Office Tessa handled numerous high profile criminal cases. She worked directly with all major state law enforcement agencies.
Tessa joined Yates and Wheland in October of 2021. Tessa focuses her practice on family law. Tessa is married to a police officer and has one daughter.
