Dawn focuses on general civil litigation and appellate work. Dawn began her career as a legal secretary in 1988, then attended the University of Maryland University College where she obtained a second bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies and became a paralegal. She then acquired a masters’ degree in management and administration before attending law school in Baltimore, where she graduated in 2001.
For 15 years she managed boutique family law firm in Montgomery County, Maryland before returning to Tennessee in 2015 to be closer to her family. She is the oldest of seven children, six of whom are adopted. Her parents fostered 187 foster children in addition to the children they adopted. She grew up in New Jersey, Michigan and Florida and attended college in Collegedale, Tennessee, graduating in 1978. She is the mother of three adult children and has a terrific grandson and attends Holy Spirit parish in Soddy Daisy, Tennessee. She enjoys sewing, gardening and writing.
